Up by popular demand. Not going to do a redline version since its an upgrade you can get on a lot of Riedell boots including my favorite 265.
This is my first full season with the Steel City Derby Demons. I started out on Riedell 265s, while there’s nothing inherently wrong with those boots, they weren’t really the right size for me, so I found a pair of these, which fit me FAR better. In addition to fitting me better, I love the structure of these boots. The super low heel makes sitting lower much easier, and that heel strap is genius. I feel more powerful, more in control, more stable, and much more comfortable in these boots. I only hope they last forever, because I’m not sure I’ll ever find a boot I like better.
As a note, these hurt like the dickens while you break them in, but with some saddle soap, those shoe stretcher things and an over, you can fix most of those breaking in problems pretty quickly.
