Radar Wheels has just added a softer version to their Diamond line of roller derby skate wheels. The new wheel comes rated as a 90a hardness is grey with pink.
I’ve always found the Diamonds to be a very grippy wheel and I’m excited to have an even grippier wheel with a very firm hub at my disposal.

WFTDA’s Apprentice Membership Program accepted 13 new leagues in the first quarter of 2012. There are now 81 women’s flat track roller derby leagues enjoying the benefits of WFTDA Apprenticeship. The latest class represents continued growth through all of WFTDA’s game play regions and includes one additional European league.

This might not seem like big news at first but now Mens Roller Derby will be allowed to skate under WFTDA insurance. This is a great move for both organizations but most importantly it will once again allow men and women to cross train, scrimmage, and bout together.

Bonnie ran around at the World Cup and had girls from all over the world tell their roller derby story. There are a lot of great ones.
I know some people urge us to just allow this kind of noise to fade into the background but right now I feel like feeding the troll. You don’t have to love roller derby but you at least have to attend a bout to have an opinion on it.
